Use of financial modeling to improve water and sanitation across Bangladesh
Mr Mahbub-Ul Alam was born in 1982 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is a public health researcher with a Post Graduate degree in Public Health from Brac James P. Grant School of Public Health, Bangladesh and a Post-Graduate degree in Anthropology. He is currently working as an Associate Scientist for the Environmental Interventions Unit under the Infectious Diseases Division at icddr,b. He is also a PhD Researcher at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds, UK.
Increasing access to sanitation services in Dhaka
Mahbub is predicting sanitation behaviour through an understanding of a willingness to pay techniques for sanitation services in urban Dhaka, Bangladesh.  This promises to have immense policy and welfare implications by standing to improve the well-being of disadvantaged populations in Dhaka.
