Usman Muhammad is the Executive Director at the Centre for Renewable Energy and Action on Climate Change (CREACC-NG), Nigeria. He is a graduate of Economics from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and has his Masters Degree from London South Bank University in England. Usman is currently a PhD candidate at the Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Abuja. He spearheads the operations of CREACC-NG, an NGO with UN Consultative Status, focusing on renewable energy and climate change action in Nigeria. His expertise extends to facilitating multifaceted research projects on climate programs and sustainable development strategies in Nigeria.

With the Tsuha Global Fellowship, I am advancing Healthvoltaics to improve the lives of those living in poverty by delivering essential health services, address malnutrition, enhancing agricultural productivity, and fostering sustainable practices to build resilience and self-sufficiency in rural communities in Nigeria. Healthvoltaics is a kiosk where rural communities can access health and weather information via their handsets for a small fee. This dual-purpose setup not only addresses immediate health needs but also empowers farmers with critical information to improve agricultural productivity and nutrition, thereby enhancing food security and community resilience.
