Project Overview

The Tsuha Global Fellowship Program is inspired by common commitments of the Tsuha Foundation and university academics, in progressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals and supporting the next generation of leaders from low and middle income countries.

“We are excited about the way our partnership with UWA will equip students in lower-income countries to become even stronger leaders,” The Tsuha Foundation said, when asked about the new program. “We look forward to the innovative solutions Fellows will create as a result of building connections and expertise through this program.”

The prospect of participating in the program has attracted remarkable interest, with applications being received from around the world. Over 350 high quality applications were received and a rigorous selection process was required to identify ideal candidates for the final interview process. Eight finalists from around the world were selected to serve as the first cohort of Tsuha Global Fellows and we showcase their work here.

Fellows will initially embark on a targeted programs of education, mentorship and networking with leading academics. The aim is to help the fellows develop advanced research, leadership and advocacy skills to apply evidence-based solutions to complex issues in their community and field of work.

Project Goals

These fellows had to have met these standards and had to include an actionable project which holds the potential to lead meaningful change in their home countries.

The applications were impressive and we’re proud of our fellows.
